Marissa & Don Beta e-session

At last! The Roses! Marissa and Don had the best time of the year for their e-shoot at Elizabeth Park. Thousands of people from all over try to get a glimpse of the beauty in the gardens all at the same time. So if your there between the last two weeks of June, you know how crazy it is. The biggest challenge to me is getting a great picture without 50 people in the background. After all, it is a public place.

These two had a such a sweet love for each other that you could see when they looked at one another. Don, or "The Don" was cool and chilled out, a fellow guitar player like myself and Marissa, she has that innocent look, but as she told me when I asked who would win in a fight she said "I'd kick Don's @$$!" Don't let the cuteness fool ya! Can't wait for the wedding guys, see you soon!

Mike & Edesa's Hartford Love!

Meet Mike and Edesa! I knew Mike from playing baseball when we were kids in the "Hard Hittin" New Britain city summer leagues. Actually I think we are still kids, at least I know I am! (I have no problem admitting my refusal to grow up. Now ask my wife Erin, she may say different:) As you can see, they are HOT!!!! Fun and very easy to work with to say the least. These two were complete naturals! Love was definitely in the Hartford air. It's so refreshing seeing a couple in tuned with each others souls as much as these two were. I had to tell them to stop kissing a few times because I thought the sun was going to set before they stopped, get a room or something would ya! Anyway, their wedding is going to be one crazy beautiful event! Some of my good friends, old and new are going to be there so it should be a wild one! Thanks again guys!

Leanne and Pat's Reservoir Love!!

The lady walking by was giving me this weird look as she passed me lying on the ground but L&P didn't flinch! Hey, anything to get the shot....... right?

Okay, so I'm playing serious catch-up with my blog posting here! June has been absolutely crazy! I've had 14 shoots this month alone so I've got plenty of images ready to roll. I am going to post a session a day for the rest of the week excluding Thursday and Saturday (weddings) so don't blink, you might miss something.

Anyway, back to the couple at hand. Leanne, Pat and myself ventured into the West Hartford Reservoir to do their love session (a.k.a e-shoot). I've been there plenty of times with the fam and friends but this was my first shoot there. There are some awesome trails and winding paths that are split with some cool little streams and of course, the reservoir. There are also these bunker looking hubs if you will, that I was excited to shoot in because they had a very grungy look that I loved. Leanne and Pat were total troopers, they climbed a rock wall to get on the roof of one of the buildings (the last image) to get a great shot. Like I do on all my e-shoots, I had a great time! Thanks guys for coming out, see ya at the wedding!

Jocelyn & Pete = Oh So Sweet!

How hot is Jocelyn!!!

I had the pleasure of hanging out with two friends of mine, Jocelyn and Pete, to shoot their engagement session at Harkness Memorial Park. Jocelyn is a photographers dream! She loves photography and appreciates the art so it's so easy to photograph her (and Pete too:) because she knows exactly what to do. As you can see in the shot with the Buddha, Pete is a jokester and has a hard time keeping a straight face. When it comes to Pete, you never know what he's going to do next, my kinda guy!

These two are the sweetest couple and it shows in the way they look at each other. They get married in July at The Riverview in Simsbury, I can't wait, I know we are going to have a great time!

Jen & Ted Hartford Style!

Meet Jen and Ted! Jen is best friends with Melanie (the post right below this one) so I decided to post them together. Jen was totally hot! And I don't say that just because they picked the hottest day of the year for their e-shoot, 95 degrees. She was rockin "the look" as I refer to it. It is kinda like the female version of Blue Steel from Zoolander. Ted was debonair and was totally chilled out as well. I had a blast shooting them and look forward to a rockin wedding!

Can you say HOT COUPLE!
The place where they met!

Melanie & Shawn Go Huskies!

Looking through the back of my 50mm 1.2 zoomed in!

Meet Shawn and Melanie, two Uconn grads that met in college and fell in love. I got the extended tour of the campus, which is beautiful to say the least and got to see all the parts that I missed when I was there. O.K so I failed to mention I didn't actually go to school there, but my friends did!I used to party with the best of them every Thursday thru Saturday rockin the towers and the jungle (exit 68 in the house!). Of course being true blue huskies, Mel and Shawn had some stories of thier own.

These two were so kind and willing to do just about anything. Shawn was great, he actually liked being photographed (some of you guys out there don't) and had some great ideas for photos as well. Melanie seemed innocent at first then we got the diva to come out..Very Hot! There was much fun to be and we heavily indulged! Thanks guys, can't wait for the wedding!

Caitlyn and Randy - Cape Cod Dreaming!

What a sweet and Beautiful family!
Awww, Mack Daddy Randy showing some love!

This shot is tittled "Tornado Face"

Gotta love Hyannis Harbor!

The best fish 'n' chips and steamers on the Cape!

When I first met Caitlyn and Randy we hit it off right away. Caitlyn told me her nostalgic stories and adventures living up at the Cape and asked if we could do the E-Shoot there. Well after living up at the Cape for two summers and having the time of my life (with my then girlfriend turned wife of course) I could hardly resist! And Randy, well like my self, he is a big Philadelphia Eagles fan. Cu'mon are you serious? You couldn't write a better movie script!

Anyway, these two were so fun to be around we actually shot for two days. The weather was an issue so I wanted to make sure we spent enough time getting the great images they deserved. If you frequent the Cape you know two days is nowhere near enough time! I could spend months!

The Cape is a special place for my wife and I and it's great to see another couple share their love in such a beautiful place! I miss it dearly and I'm glad we did their E-Shoot there. I'm sure these images will give me goosebumps every time I see them!

Kelly & Matt's Gouveia Vineyards Love session

O.k, Kelly is a photographers dream! She has this naturally seductive look that just draws you right into her eyes. She said she watches America's Top Model on the regular so she knows exactly what to do. Hint Hint for all those who want "that look". Anyway, we had a great time on their e-shoot at Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford capped off with a few glasses of wine and a plate of cheese and crackers that Matt and I swiped from the free sample table. The only bummer was they wouldn't let us into the vineyard which I can totally respect. But we had good wine, good cheese and good company, what more could you ask for anyway? Looking forward to your October Wedding guys!

Carly & Jim Rockin The Blue Back

Carly, Jim and I hung out and did the Elizabeth Park/Blue Back Square combo e-shoot last week. It was my fifth e-session there this year! The great thing about these two areas is there are all sorts of nooks and crannies to photograph, every time I go, I find a new spot. Carly and Jim where all smiles. I had to tell them to be serious a few times just so I could get a shot of them not laughing. The one moment that sticks out is when I asked Jim to tell me one of Carly's bad habits. I ask all my couples this because it is usually hilarious, especially if it embarrasses them. Well it didn't work, Jim plead the fifth. I don't know, It could've had something to do with those evil eyes Carly was giving him. Anyway, can't wait for the big day guys, we should have an awesome time!

Kinga & JJ.....The Harkness - Mystic Connection

I forgot to post this image last night, of course I said it was my favorite and it wasn't even posted:)

What more can I say? Not to take anything away from other E-shoots but this may have been the funnest one yet! Kinga and JJ absolutely ROCKED their E-session. I can't tell you how sweet this couple was, you would have to witness it for your self. First we hit Harkness Memorial (my #1 fav place to go in CT, thanks to my wife Erin for introducing me a few years back) where I really got to know K & J. It was the perfect place to start, there is something about the energy of the grounds that is simply mesmerizing, you can't help but fall in love with the place.

After we covered about only 25% of the park we made our way to my 2nd fav place in CT, Mystic. Home of the famous Mystic Pizza, famous for the self titled movie staring Julia Roberts. This town to me, is the definition of New England. This place is a photographers dream, I could've photographed Kinga & JJ all weekend! I would have to say one of my favorite images is the one of them kissing in the middle of the road. It took us about ten minutes to get that shot (traffic) so it made it all the more worth it. All said and done, with this experience with these guys I know we are going to have an awesome day photographing their wedding. Can't wait!!

Katie & Eliad Old Greenwich Style

Introducing Katie and Eliad, two very cool and kind people. I had the pleasure of truckin down to Greenwich for the first time in my 22 years in CT to shoot their engagement session this past week. Needless to say, they were great to work with and fun to hang out with as well! Unfortunately we were pressed for time or more like daylight so we didn't hit the "real" Greenwich as Eliad put it, but it was great non the less. They were nice enough to invite my wife and I back down to give us the local access tour. After the shoot Eliad and Katie treated me to dinner at the Beach House Restaurant were Eliad and I enjoyed Blueberry Mojitos, good times man, good times!

All in all we had an awesome time, I'm looking forward to their wedding in June, it should be a blast! Can't wait guys, see ya soon!

Coming soon to a wedding near you!

Well now that e-shoot season is in full swing I'm trying to finish some business upgrades before the major part of my wedding season starts. First business at hand....name, brand & logo change. We will be officially changing from Visions Photography to Eric Foley Photography on Monday the 12th. As you can see above, this is our new logo, designed by the uber talented John Cottle from Cottle Multi-Media.. SWEET! A new website is also in the works (Livebooks) that will hopefully be done by July.

Anyway, I just had two e-shoots in as many days ranging from Greenwich to Mystic so I will be posting them ASAP! Both of these couples were awesome people and totally fun to hang out with!

Stay tuned!

The Bold And The Beautiful - "Engagement Edition" - Sirtaz & Lisa

Well I hit Elizabeth Park twice in one week with Engagement sessions and needless to say, they were both awesome! It's amazing the difference 5 days makes with the flowers, Saturday there was 1 lonely tulip (see Pete & Diane post below) and Thursday the was hundreds.

Anyway, I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful Lisa & Sirtaz for their e-session Thursday. Wow, that's all I can say! I was supposed to be making them look good but I think they made me look good. Fun, willing and very spirited is how I would describe them, there wasn't too much they wouldn't do. A special thanks to Sirtaz for doing whatever I asked, he's a trooper. The poor guy had 4 or 5 knee surgeries and was still willing to get down and dirty. As for Lisa, I can only imagine how gorgeous she will be in her wedding dress!

Wedding Date: 5/18/08 - Stay Tuned!

Operation Engagement - Pete and Diane

This was the only tulip in bloom in the entire garden, so of course, we had to take advantage!

I had a great time Saturday shooting Pete and Diane for their engagement session. This was the perfect prelude to their wedding at the Branford Mansion. Pete was great, such a ham and pretty much willing to do anything you ask. And as for the beautiful Diane, as the day went on her sarcastic character came out and made for an awesome shoot. I can already tell we are going to have fun shooting their wedding.

I can't emphasize enough to present and future Brides and Grooms how important these engagement sessions are. Imagine paying thousands of dollars on a photographer to only stress out, wonder or hope that he or she will be personable or able on your wedding day. Not to mention for us, it's priceless. Our job is to catch those natural moments as they happen and they are much easier to catch when you've already built a working relationship with the Bride and Groom. Don't you think??

I think of my self on the job as 1/3 comedian, 1/3 Photographer and last but not least 1/3 psychologist. It always makes the couple more at ease and relaxed, which allows us to capture your first family heirloom naturally.

Attention all Brides and Grooms of mine, if you haven't scheduled your e-shoot, please do so soon! I don't have many dates left available until the fall.
