Aislinn's 1st Birthday!

Here are a few images I took at Aislinn's 1st birthday party. I really can't believe she is one already, where did the time go. I think with all of life's crazyness, if you don't stop and look around, you could miss all the important things in your life. I appreciate my Aislinn, Keegan and Erin and love them more than words can describe.

I never take them for granted.

Next Up: Rebecca and Victor, Married!

Sure the party was for Aislinn but Keegan had all his boys and girls there too!
Erin taking control of extinguishing the flame
I can only think what's going through Keegan's head at this moment "if she doesn't hurry up with that cake I'm gonna eat it for her"
Hats off, time to get crazy!

What cake? I didn't see no cake? LOL!

And Great Grandpa too.

Mr. Keegan's Quotes Of The Day

Well it seems that 3 years old is the official age when your child will say just about anything in any situation. Keegan's vocabulary is vastly growing and becoming more intellectual by the minute. It is quite entertaining so I thought I would share a few quotes he dropped on us today.

1. "Daddy, I don't like monsters, I just like pigs" O.K, that totally had me like, huh???

2. As he was taking a bath with mommy while she was washing his hair he said "mommy mommy, I got pepper in my eyes" (in a whimpering voice)

3. As we where driving home from best buy tonight, we were listening to a Sesame Street DVD. He told me 'daddy, Cookie Monster is better than you" WHAT THE F#$%! What did I ever do to deserve that???

Anyway, it's all quite entertaining so I thought I would share.

Baby Aislinn / Keegan Update

I just wanted to give you a taste of some images I took this week, things are finally settling down and we kinda have a daily routine in place (and I use the term - kinda have a daily routine - very lightly). I am going to be doing a "studio" shoot with the kids this week so check back soon! All else is well at the homestead, we are just enjoying our new life and watching the kids grow everyday. We are truly blessed and very thankful!

Posting or lack there of!

Sorry for the lack of recent postings. We are still getting adjusted to baby Aislinn being home (one week tomorrow). The biggest challenge, besides sleep deprivation has been trying to ease the transition for our 2 year old son Keegan. He's doing as well as can be expected, minus a few temper tantrums.

I just had an awesome e-shoot yesterday with a great couple Diane & Pete so stay tuned. Hopefully I will get some images up by tonight, tomorrow the latest!

Thanks for your patience!

Just a quick update. At 11am EST. Aislinn Elaine Foley arrived safe and Healthy at home today after a 10 day stay at the luxurious down town New Britain General Hospital Hotel. All vital signs are good and no sign of any infections! We will busy adjusting for the next few days so I will have a load of images to post soon!

Studio Shoot #1 - Keegan & Catherine

My son Keegan made an appearance of course!

This was my first real attempt at studio photography. I went to Craig Freeman Studios to practice with Craig and try out a bunch of different lighting techniques. Craig just opened up his studio so we just shot away and had a blast! I think that shooting in a studio environment always seemed a little intimidating to me. I don't think I did too bad, what do you think? I have a feeling there is going to be more studio fun in the future.

Finally!! The Canon 50mm f/1.2

Well here it is, my newest addition to my gear! The Canon 50mm f/1.2!! This is an awesome lens! This lens has been recommended to me by quite a few wedding photographers and I've been waiting for the right time to buy it. I can't say enough about this lens, I've only owned it for a week and it has already become my favorite lens( along with my 70-200 f/2.8 IS. It is going to open allot of different doors and options for creativity with it's wide range of depth of field.

These are the first two images of my son Keegan with the 50mm f/1.2 . I don't know if you have ever tried photographing a rambunctious two year old, but the best way I can describe it- Imagine a balloon filled with air- now let the air out and try and focus on it as it flies around the room. Get the picture!
