Attention All Brides -To-Be!!

This Sunday I will be attending my first bridal fair at the Farmington Marriott (click here) from 11am to 4pm. I will be offering a special 2008 promotion for all wedding packages but you have to come down to find out what it is! I am totally excited for this show because my good friends at Cottle Multi Media in Va. hooked me up with an awesome trade show display. Come down and say hello!

I also have two more shows coming up. One on 11/18/07 at the Sheraton in Stamford and one on 1/13/08 at the Crown Plaza in Cromwell.

See you there!!

Carolyn & Kevin

Last weekend I got to hang out with Carolyn and Kevin for their engagement photo shoot! Needless to say we had a blast! Carolyn works on a go-zillion acre farm in Somers, CT training show horses, what a cool job! It was absolutely beautiful out there, it was one of those places where you just feel free from the world and at one with yourself. I guess what I'm saying is I'd live out there in heart beat!

The love this couple had for each other was very obvious, and I think it came out in these images as well. I can't wait for their wedding this coming February in Holyoke, Mass. It should be a great time!!

75 Degrees!!!!!!!

I can't believe it, we are in New Hampshire and it's hot!! I wanted sweatshirt weather and I'm wearing shorts. Oh well, you can't have everything. Maybe tonight it will get chilly and then we can bust out those sweatshirts and jackets. The pumpkin fest is huge, they have live coverage on the local TV channels all day! It should be a blast! I'll have pictures of the trip as soon as we get back.

See ya then!

Off to Keene!!!

The fam and I are heading up to Keene, New Hampshire for the weekend for their annual Pumpkin Festival. We have been planning this for 3 years and finally we're going. In the past something has always come up to put the ka-bosh on the trip. We're going with our friends Gabe and Alison who have 3 kids so add our 1 1/2 and it should be a crazy fun time.

There is nothing better than New England in the fall, festivals, foliage and fresh cider, what more can you ask? Click here to check out the festival.

See you on Monday!

LIFE!!!

I just logged in to my blogger and for no apparent reason (I thought at that time), I decided to click on the my favorite movies link Nacho Libre (just to see what happened). It opened a page with hundreds of other bloggers that had listed the same movie as one of their favorites. The first page had one picture of a girl, Jen, who turned out to be a 29 year old pediatrician who was working in Haiti. She tells stories of her days there and describes everything she does.

Jen describes a life that I don't think any of us in America can even begin to comprehend, a life of constant sadness and unspeakable tragedy. What really hit hard with me was what she tells about all the sick children dying and their helpless parents who will do any thing just to have their children looked at by a doctor. She says in her latest post " there are so many sick children, the facilities can't handle them all, they are either sent somewhere else or sent home to die ". I am a true bleeding heart and this kind of stuff kills me inside! As a father of one 21 month old boy and one on the way, I deeply feel for these families.

I guess I'm posting this because it really makes me appreciate everything the great spirit has given me. I want everyone who reads this to hug someone you love and tell them how much you appreciate them! There is no reason these tragedies should happen to innocent children but the sad fact is they do. We all (the fortunate ones) should share the burden of this world and take responsibility to do something for the needy, here and abroad. Just imagine if everyone in this great country did just one small thing. The possibilities would be endless!! I will be contacting Jen to see if there is anything I can do to help her situation or donate to the hospital where she works.

Take NOTHING for granted, absolutely Nothing, because it can all be gone tomorrow. If you would like to check Jen's blog out, click here.

I have to go now and give my wife, son and belly a super squeezy hug and kiss.

Good night for now!

Erin and Chris

I first photographed Erin & Chris at their engagement shoot in the spring at Hamo. I'm so glad we did because it gave me a chance to get to know them and to get them comfortable with the camera. On the BIG DAY, Erin & Chris were naturals, I didn't have to say one word to them all day, they knew what to do! We had a beautiful day, sunny, 75 degrees and a light breeze. You couldn't ask for better weather.

This is my new favorite custom LR preset, I call it "BLUE SASS"

We got to shoot in a church for a change, I love the emotion and atmosphere you can capture. I always recommend to my bride and grooms, if you can, have at least 3 separate places you will be on your wedding day(i.e getting ready spot, church, or separate location and then reception). It just seems to give a little more variety and different scenarios.
