Thank you Apple!

As an incentive to get me to switch to a Mac, the guys over at Apple agreed to give me some free advertising on their new ipod presentation. Thanks guys, I'll be switching soon! Ha Ha!

Finally!! The Canon 50mm f/1.2

Well here it is, my newest addition to my gear! The Canon 50mm f/1.2!! This is an awesome lens! This lens has been recommended to me by quite a few wedding photographers and I've been waiting for the right time to buy it. I can't say enough about this lens, I've only owned it for a week and it has already become my favorite lens( along with my 70-200 f/2.8 IS. It is going to open allot of different doors and options for creativity with it's wide range of depth of field.

These are the first two images of my son Keegan with the 50mm f/1.2 . I don't know if you have ever tried photographing a rambunctious two year old, but the best way I can describe it- Imagine a balloon filled with air- now let the air out and try and focus on it as it flies around the room. Get the picture!

Crazy!!

Well I've been totally slacking on the blog lately but I can say, It's been for good reason! I recently did a few bridal shows in Stamford and Cromwell and the response has been fabulous! I've met so many awesome future brides and grooms in the past few weeks, it's been absolutely crazy. My main focus this year is creating great friendships with my clients, even before the wedding. I feel that the better relationship we have, the better the results.

I've got an awesome lineup of some really cool people to work with this year and next year. Rachel and Kevin are a great couple from Vernon. When I met them we hit it off right from the beginning! I think we talked for an hour before we even started discussing their wedding. These guys are Philadelphia Eagles and Boston Red Sox fans, I couldn't believe it! My two fav teams of all time! Rachel is contacting the Red Sox as we speak to see if they will allow us to do their e-shoot there! My fingers are crossed! Stay tuned, I'll follow up if we get the okay on Fenway!

Needless to say, my wedding season kicks off next week in Mass. I guess vacation is over for now! It looks like a great year is ahead!

I just bought a new lens this week that I have been wanting for a while. I'll post some images as soon as possible!

Congratulations Erin!!!

Well some of you may know, my lovely wife Erin manages the Whole Body department at the Bishops Corner Whole Foods in W. Hartford. I am excited to announce that she just got hired to manage the Whole Body dept. at the new Glastonbury Whole Foods. The Glastonbury W.F is opening in March and is going to take that town by storm. There is such a buzz about W.F in Glastonbury, I've talked to a few townies and they say everyone can't wait. Erin poors everything she has into her job and it's paying off. She genuinely cares about the health and wellness of people and educating them to lead a healthier lifestyle. If your into organic foods and supplements, stop down and chat with her and pick her brain!

I am excited for her, I know there are great things to come! Look out Glastonbury!

Awesome Baby Counter!

How cool is that new baby widget! It will be a swift reminder every time I'm blogging of how quick she is coming. I think the biggest challenge ahead though is how Keegan (2yr) is going to adjust to his new sister. If you have any advice on that issue, please share.

So far we are leaning towards naming her Azlinn or Aislinn. They are of Celtic origin.

Pugging For Sure!!

Last night I attended my first PUG (Pictage User Group) meeting in Guilford, and needless to say, I'm hooked! These meetings where the main reason I joined Pictage. To give you an example, it was like being on the red carpet at the Grammys. Some of the best Wedding Photographers in CT (and the country) where there and they all where so cool and helpful. I heard one person say their slogan was "caring is sharing" and it seemed so true.

Justin and Mary are the Pug leaders for CT. I've blogged with them on occasion so I was siked to finally meet them. True to form, they were super nice. Mary greeted me with a big hug like we've known each other for years, and Justin made me feel very welcome. There is going to be an over flow of information at these meetings and I plan to be at every one from here on out. With resources from killer photographers like Carla Ten Eyck and Steve DePino, I know there is going to be lots of info to share and great new friends to be made!

On another note, I have been totally slacking on the new car photo as pointed out to me by my new Pug friend Jacob from NoDo Photography. So I will get one up tomorrow, this car is awesome! I would get two if I could!
